MOREGEOUS : Making Property More than Gorgeous without breaking the bank!

The Moregeous Team consists of me, Sian, a Manchester based property renovator, interior designer, tv presenter and residential landlord, Mr Moregeous, my other very handy half and our team of Merry Moregeous Men – together we make our own and other people’s properties not just gorgeous, but more than gorgeous!

A client recently called me a ‘lady builder’ – a great description as I re-design, re-build and house doctor other people’s houses with my team. Having started off in 1996 with £1 and a heap of enthusiasm, I also self manage a portfolio of residential properties, so we spend our weeks looking after, chasing after and tidying up after a lovely bunch of tenants.

The Moregeous blog is packed full of mostly self-snapped property & interior photographs, plus hints and tips about renovating properties as well as design work from single bathrooms to whole houses. My days are spent transforming unloved and neglected places into more than gorgeous spaces to be enjoyed, loved and lived in.

The world of property has suffered me for sixteen years now and though it’s bloody hard work, there’s no job I’d rather do. A day off would be nice every now and then, but you can’t have everything, can you? As long as there’s lots of wine, excellent food and at least one Grazia soothed hot bath a week…….

Moregeous interior work can be seen on the Makeovers tab on the homepage and has featured in many national style magazines such as Red, House Beautiful, 25 Beautiful Homes and Ideal Home.

We’ve been lucky enough in 2012 to work on a fantastic show for Channel 5 called Half Built House, travelling the length of the UK helping homeowners with DIY Disasters.

In Jan 2011 a Grade 2 listed cottage in Manchester which Team Moregeous renovated for a client featured on ITV’s May The Best House Win and won it’s episode! I also featured on BBC3′s How to Live with Women in April 2011 as a property expert and mentor, tasked with showing the building and property ropes to a hapless young man.

Some of you property addicts may recall that back in 2002 I made a little Chorlton terraced house famous on Channel 4′s Property Ladder when both the house and I suffered the sharp end of Queen Beeny’s tongue, but Sarah relented in 2005 on a Revisit and conceded we were marginally better than the average contributors :-)

Most of the blog is property related but life, cake and family sometimes play starring roles. Team Moregeous love our food so eating features fairly frequently, as does life around the fabulous part of the world we live and work in, mostly West Didsbury related ;-)

    Hey there

Great blog! I am currently working with a number of home improvement clients on building their web presence. I was wondering if there would be a chance that I could get them included in a blog post on your blog?! We have a team of in house journalists here that I can get to supply you with the article (if I ask super nicely!) and in return, you could provide a link to them?

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

    Keep up the blogging!!
